Non-profit organizations, schools and Colleges are an extremely important part of our communities and our nation. They need and deserve access to clean, abundant, low-cost, renewable energy just as much, if not more than our for-profit customers.

Lowering the electricity bill allows more resources to fulfill mission. Since utility costs are one of the few areas of a school’s or hospitals budget that can’t be trimmed without negatively affecting the students or patients experience, growing numbers of administrators are exploring the benefits of solar power.

School or college facilities are excellent candidates for solar conversion, particularly large campuses spread out over a wide geographic area. For schools, solar panels can easily offset monthly utility bills. With a larger installation, it may even be possible to switch to 100% renewable energy. In addition, solar energy in schools presents a great teaching opportunity that can enrich classroom content with real-world examples of the benefits of renewable energy.
